I go through phases

Sometimes it's all I can do not to write on here every single day, and then times like now, it feels like this thing is a waste. I actually do read your stuff guys! I guess "skim" you stuff is more what I do, but at least I still take a look at the writings of my good friends.

I'll give you a quick update that you all can "skim." hehe.

-I just got a job at a coffee shop last week. Yay! Money! haha. It was actually the job of my choice too, so it worked out wonderfully. I work about 10 hours a week, which is great, but now I feel like I'm constantly on the go.

-Dan and I have now been dating for over a year. It's amazing that we've been dating so long, and yet, a year doesn't seem long enough. I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's the best I can do to describe it. He is such a wonderful guy, he's exactly what I wanted in a man, and more. :) (note for Josie: he even bought me a scrapbook and did scrapbooking with me, totally on his on initiative, if it hadn't been for him, I probably would of never gotten around to it. haha. i just think of you anytime i do something related to scrapbooking :)

-I'm finally going to dye my hair...

-I was accepted to the college of my choice, Milligan College, a few weeks ago. So I guess I'll be moving to Tennessee next year for college. I'm excited!

That's it, sorta, haha, there is always so much more going on in my life than that, but I won't go on with all the boring details. Love you guys

Well I'm Back

I have officially been thrown back into the swing of things, and it hasn't been a particularly pretty thing. My stress level has been a bit higher than usual, but that's not completely unexpected considering this is actually my first week of school this year. But today I don't have to go to choir and I am getting done more quickly with my school work, so I feel like I'm finally getting used to doing school once again. This should be an interesting year for me. I'm not really sure what God is going to do in it, but I know that there is more for this year than just the day to day work. So it will be fun to see what happens. First of all, I decided not to do my high school's fall play (although I plan on doing the spring musical), and have, instead, applied to several places for a part time job. It will nice to have some money, as well as just get a new look on life and meet new people. I'm a little nervous but excited to see what's gonna happen. Then there's Dan, we've been dating a year on Sunday, and so this year will be fun just getting to be a part of his life and doing things together before we both head to college. Speaking of college, I'm already ready to go! Well, not exactly, but I'm really looking forward to getting to be out on my own and starting the next season of my life. Although the many month separations from Dan are a bummer.

Well that's all I guess. haha. Korea was a great trip and wonderful country! The people are so lovely and warm. They especially loved the little boys. And Melissa loved to tease me that I turned heads...of 40 year old men! EWWWWW! hahaha. It was an interesting trip for me because although I didn't feel that it was a very significant trip (although I enjoyed it) in the present, I think it played a significant role for my destiny and the rest of my life.

I live next to a highway...

Or at least temporarily.  Hello from South Korea!!! One week down, one week to go! We are staying in Pastor Kim Yong June's (I have absolutely no idea how to spell his name) apartment.  It's a bit tight, but not too bad.  I feel a bit guilty about the sleeping arrangements because the Williams family (5 people) sleep in one bedroom, the Kim family (4 people) in another, and just me in the third.  But luckily both families have very young children, plus, I'm enough of an introvert that if I didn't have just a little bit of space to myself. I would have already hit their children by now. hahaha. jk. But I probably would have ended up breaking down and crying after not too long.  As it is, I have very little privacy.  But I'm happy.  Things have been going very well here.  I'm getting along great with their family and doing well with the boys. I'm getting little taste of mothering. Yikes! But by no means does this experience make me want to have children any less.

Summary of my trip so far:

Tuesday: All day travel then dinner at a Chinese Restaurant Korean Style (haha, what a weird mix)

Wednesday-Saturday: Attempting to recover from jet lag.

Sunday: Incredible church! Wow! They are so on fire!  I felt more at home in their church than many english speaking churches.  Many young people at the church tried talking to me. It was so much fun! Everything's like a puzzle when you can't speak the same language. haha!

Monday: Spent Sunday into Monday night at a resort in the mountains (it was beautiful and an incredible resort, but everything was shut down while we were there, so it was more just like staying in a really nice hotel suite). Bowled with the church's leader team (all are mid-30's and younger), and ended up being on a team of korean young men. haha! luckily three of them could sort of speak english. Then had a bbq, and then went to the ocean. phew. long day.

Tuesday: Had lunch at a Korean restaurant (we eat out at least once a day, yikes), then drove to downtown Seoul. Asian drivers are crazy! Holy cow! You are in a continual state of being less than an inch away from having your entire car crushed. We went to an ancient Korean palace. Very cool. So interesting. Then did a little speed through shopping. And now the boys are sleeping. Yay!!! And Melissa and Tony are at a leader's meeting with Yong June and Yoo (his wife). Another long day.

We are in a perpetual state of full.  So much food.  And I've decided that I prefer chinese food to Korean.  I'm getting to be very sick of squid. haha.  Melissa and I take great comfort in multiple cups of tea per day.  And we had St.Arbucks (starbucks for those of you who are a bit slow, haha) today! hallelujah! God is so good! haha! And I just had a hamburger for dinner.  God knows what I need most. hehe!

I'll share more later. Miss you all so much! Loving it here, but looking forward to being home!!!

Best conversation of the century (yes, the BEST):
licknlips89: "baby"
talkintotim: "yesm?"
licknlips89:"i like you
a whole lot"
talkintotim:"aww shucks
i like you a whole lot too"
We're the best out of all the rest! ...that or I just like rhyming. hmmm.

Tomorrow I go camping on Lake Huron somewhere up north with my family. Should be fun. I hope. I'm kinda not in the mood for camping right now. And I'm really bummed to miss church. But it will be a good time with my family. Then on Tuesday I leave for South Korea. Yay! Sort of. I'm nervous to go. And I'm really going to miss Dan. I mean, I'll miss everyone else, but I'm REALLY going to miss him. It's going to be a great experience though, and I'm excited to see what God has for me. So I won't be seeing any of you until after I get back. Prayer would be greatly appreciated! For our safety, blessing, and a constant atmosphere of God's presence. Thanks everyone! I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
